Two- Factor Authentication via SMS is not possible with landlines since they cannot receive text messages. The phone number must be attached to an SMS-enabled device. However, you can set up two-factor authentication for email instead.
Please follow the steps below to set up Two-Factor Authentication for email:
-
Visit Settings, then select Personal Info.
-
Under Contact Info, you should notice an unverified alert next to the email, click on the alert.
-
Confirm the contact details are correct.
-
You will then be prompted to select the "Next" button to enter the verification process.
-
2FA will send a 6-digit code to your email address. Once you receive the code, enter the code in the empty field.
-
Two-Factor Authentication verification is now complete! The alert next to contact info should now be verified.
