Why Do I Have to Verify My Checking Account?

Acorns requires verification of ownership of the funding source with micro deposits. In your checking account, the Acorns micro-deposits will be shown as two independent, sub-one dollar deposits made into your account. You will be prompted to enter these two small deposits into the application. These amounts are typically sent 1-2 days after your first investment completes. Once you have entered the correct amounts you will be able to withdraw funds from your Acorns account.

If you have not received these deposits or if you no longer have access to the monthly statement with these deposits, please send an email to support@acorns.com and we would be happy to send you a new set of verification deposits.
