Your checking account is the account that funds all investments into your Acorns account. Whenever a Lump Sum, Recurring or Round-Ups investment is created, Acorns will transfer the funds from your linked checking account into your Acorns investment account.
Should you ever withdraw funds from your Acorns account, they will be transferred into your checking account.
You can change your checking account by completing the following steps:
1. From the main menu, select Settings
2. Select Funding Source
3. Select Change next to the bank currently linked
4. Select Use a Different Bank at the bottom of the page
5. Enter the Routing and Account numbers for the new checking account you want to fund your investments
To ensure your account’s security, we may require documentation verifying your ownership of both the current and new funding sources. If your account requires additional verification, please follow the prompts on the Acorns website and app for additional details.
