How does Acorns work?

Our plans make it easy for you to invest in you.

With Round Ups, we round up any purchase made from a connected account to the next dollar, and invest that change. The value of your Round-Ups must equal at least $5 to be invested.

Recurring investments allow you to move as little as $5 / month into your Acorns account.
And you can make one-time Investments anytime to boost your account value.

When you create your profile, we'll suggest a portfolio based on your answers to a few questions, but you can change it anytime. Your portfolio determines how much gets invested.

So, where do we invest it? The money in your Acorns account is invested in six different Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). These funds include stocks, bonds and other securities, and try to mimic the performance of an exchange. Read more about it at Acorns.com/Investments.
