Why does it take 1-5 days for my Acorns account to be approved?

Your security is our primary concern, so we take every measure to verify that you are you! If all of your information is accurate, we typically verify and approve accounts same-day. If there is a delay, it may be because there is missing information. Acorns is subject to regulatory oversight by FINRA, the SEC and the IRS, so even the slightest inconsistency can delay registration.

As soon as we know what additional information is needed, we send you an alert. Please check the email you provided during registration, or look for an in-app alert, and we’ll walk you through a few steps for verification.
