Hey, I’m Noah. I get to look after Acorns as CEO.

I was raised to shut up and let the work speak—to put my head down and do the work. So I have. But, it feels like time to speak up.

It’s easier than ever to gamble. Call it betting or predicting, but it’s gambling. The people selling it are getting richer, while everyday Americans lose their hard-earned money chasing a lie. 

In fact, nearly 96% of people participating in online gambling have lost money.

I get the temptation. Fun is fun. So, have fun with a small percentage of your money, while the rest is invested in a market that’s returned 10% on average annually since its inception.

That’s real, and we built Acorns to stand for something real. Real tools of wealth-making, real long-term potential, real conviction to put your money first.

With that in mind, we share The Acorns Pledge.

3. We’ll never push products that create bad habits. We don’t want you spending money you don’t have. Anyone who does is looking out for their money, not yours. We only offer products designed to grow your financial wellness.
4. We’ll never stop working to put your money to work. Every inch of Acorns was built to try to help you grow your money — even when you’re spending it. We are dedicated to maximizing your money’s Potential.
5. We’ll never talk over your head. You shouldn’t need a finance degree to do the right thing with your money. We keep things simple, clear, and honest.

These aren’t new for us. But as it becomes easier to burn money, we want to remind people that what your financial partner can do is as important as what it won’t do.
